Our Story

Started in Florida, built for flat sleepers

Bluewave Bedding started in St. Petersburg, Florida in 2016. The pillow industry puts nearly all of its money and invention into mattresses, and pillows come along as an afterthought: five to seven inches thick, built for one kind of sleeper, and sold as if everyone sleeps the same way.

We started with the people that approach leaves out. Stomach and back sleepers need a thinner, flatter pillow than stores carry, and most of them find us after years of folding, squashing, and giving up on normal pillows. Today we're based in Indian Rocks Beach, a few blocks from the Gulf.

And yes, it's hot here. The cooling line exists because we needed it too.

Understatement, on purpose

If a pillow probably won't work for you, our pages say so. Overselling leads to returns and sore necks, and we'd rather keep both rare.

Built around your number

Some of our pillows are cut to one exact height. The adjustable Versalayer stacks removable layers into any height from 0.75 to 6 inches. Either way, you choose your number instead of settling for one.
